Rajma Wrap (Red Kidney Bean Recipe)


Ingredients
Boiled rajma/red kidney bean – 1 cup
Mixed vegetable – ¼ cup (carrot, beans, green peas)
Onion – 1 chopped
Garlic crushed – 5 to 6
Red chilli powder and salt as per taste
Tomato ketchup
Cheese
Chapatti

Method
Mash boiled rajma  and keep aside.
Heat butter in a pan, add onions and garlic and sauté for a minute. Then add chopped vegetables, red chilli powder and salt and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add 2 tbl.sp of tomato ketchup and mashed rajma and mix well and cook for another one minute.
Take chapatti on a flat surface. Spread rajma mixture and sprinkle little grated cheese on top. Roll and serve.










Rajma Toast (Red Kidney Bean Recipe)

Ingredients
Onion – 1 small chopped
Rajma/red kidney bean – 1 cup (small)
Garlic flakes – 5 to 6
Red chilli powder – as per taste
Chopped capsicum – ½
Salt to taste
Few bread slices
Cheese to sprinkle
Tomato ketchup
Butter – 1 tbl.sp

Method
Heat butter in a pan, add onions and crushed garlic, sauté for a minute and then add chilli powder and boiled rajma and again cook for a minute. Add chopped capsicum and 2 tbl.sp of tomato ketchup and stir fry till it becomes dry. When done, remove from heat.

Toast the bread on a pan. Spread rajma masala on top and sprinkle  grated cheese and serve hot.

Rajma Cheese Roti

Ingredients
Rajma (red kidney bean) – 1 ½ cup
Onion – 1
Green chilli/red chilli powder  – 2 or as per taste
Finely chopped garlic – 5 to 6
Corn – 1 cup
Capsicum – 1 cup chopped
Tomato – 1 cup chopped
Cheese
Salt as per taste
Chapatti or roti

Method
Soak rajma/red kidney bean overnight and then cook till soft.
Finely chop onion, tomato and capsicum.
Heat oil in a pan and add chopped garlic, sauté for a minute and then add onion and cook till translucent.
Add green chilli or red chilli powder, then add rajma, tomato,  corn, capsicum and salt. Add little water and cook till all the moisture is absorbed.
Remove and leave it to cool.
Heat a flat pan, place one chapatti on the tava, sprinkle little grated cheese and then rajma masala and then again top it with little cheese. Cover with another roti.
Cook on a slow flame till the cheese melts and both the chapattis stick to each other.
Remove and cut into four equal pieces and serve.

Rajma Galauti Kabab

Ingredients

Red kidney bean - 250 gms
soya granules - 100 gm
chopped ginger - 1 tsp
chopped green chilli - 1 tsp
red chilli powder - 1 tsp
corriander leaves
garam masala - 1/2 tsp
cumin powder - 1 tsp
corriander powder - 1 tsp
salt as per taste
oil to fry
lemon juice


Method

Soak rajma overnight, drain the water, boil it and mash it. To this add soya chunks and other ingredients and make small flat round balls and shallow fry, Sprinkle little lemon juice on top.

Dal Curry With Puri ( dal with dumpling)

Ingredients

Whole black gram – 200 gm

Kidney beans or rajma beans – 2 cups

Onions – 1 cup

Tomatoes – 2 big

Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbl.sp

Chilli powder – 2 tsp or as per taste

Garam masala powder – 2 tsp

Turmeric powder – 1 tsp

Green chilli – 3

Coriander leaves – 1 cup

Cream – 2 tbl.sp

Ghee or butter – 4 tbl.sp

Oil

 Salt as per taste

For dumpling

Wheat flour – 5 cups

Ghee or butter – ½ cup

Yoghurt – 2 tbl.sp

Salt as per taste

Method

Soak black gram and rajma separately in water for seven to eight hours and then pressure cook it till it becomes soft. Chop tomatoes and onions.

Heat oil and add onions and fry till light golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and chopped tomatoes. Then add all the masalas, beans and black gram dal and salt. Mix well and cook till the gravy becomes thick. In the end add cream and ghee and cook on a low flame. Garnish with coriander leaves and slit green chilllies.

Make a dough of the given ingredients given and leave it aside for half an hour.

Make small puris from the dough prepared and then roast on hot coals till puffed and golden outside. Dip hot dumpling in the dal while eating.

Rajma or Kidney Bean Recipe


Ingredients

Rajma – 250 gm
Onion – 1
Garlic – 5
Ginger – 1 inch
Green chillies – 3
Tomatoes – 3
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Oil – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – ½ cup
Salt as per taste

Method
Heat oil in a pan and add this paste to it. Fry it on a medium flame until golden brown till the oil starts separating from the mixture.
Add red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix well and fry for two to three minutes. Add enough water to make thick gravy, cook on a low flame. Add boiled rajma along with water. Stir well and cook for few minutes on a medium flame.
When the gravy turns thick, remove from fire and garnish Soak rajma in water overnight and next day pressure cook until tender. Chop onion, tomato, green chilli. Grind these ingredients along with ginger and garlic to make a fine paste.
