Chicken Kandhari Kofta

Ingredients

Chicken Mince – 500 gm
Boiled onion paste – ¾ cup
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Cinnamon powader – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Tomato puree – ½ cup
Cashew nut paste – 2/3 cup
Pomegranate syrup – 2 tsp
Fresh cream – ½ cup
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method
Wash the chicken and drain excess water till it is completely dried. Add to it cinnamon powder. One teaspoon of salt and mix well. Divide this into equal portions and shape them into balls and keep aside.
Soak cashew nut in water for half an hour and then grind to a smooth paste.
Heat oil in a pan, add boiled onion paste and cook till it turns pink. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then add red chilli powder and coriander powder.
In another pan, mix tomato puree and cashew nut paste with little water and cook on a high flame stirring continuously..
Add 1 ½ cup water and bring to boil. Add chicken koftas and cook for ten minutes stirring in between. Add garam masala powder and pomegranate syrup. Simmer for five minutes then add fresh cream. Serve hot with naan or paratha.
