Chicken Do Pyaza

Ingredients

Chicken – 1 kg whole
Potato – 250gm
Onion – 1 kg
Ghee or oil – 500 gm
Ginger garlic paste – 1tbl. sp
Grated coconut – 250 gm
Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper -6
Cloves – 6
Small cardamom – 6
Black cardamom – 4
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste

Method
Clean and wash the whole chicken and slightly cut open the front portion.  Grind to a fine paste all the given ingredients and fill it inside and tie it with a thread. Chop onion into small pieces and fry it in oil, when golden brown, add potato cut into four pieces. Spread this potatoes evenly on onion and keep the whole chicken on it. Cover the lid tightly, make a paste of wheat flour and apply on the edges to prevent the steam from coming out.
Let it cook on a low flame for at least one hour till it is wholly cooked.
