Dhariwala

Ingredients

Potatoes – ¼ kg

Shelled peas – ½ kg

Tomatoes – 3 medium sized

Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

Red chilli  powder – 1 ½ tsp

Garam masala powder – ¼ tsp

Salt as required

Make a paste of

Onions – 2

Garlic - 7 flakes

Coriander leaves – 1 medium bunch

Sugar – ½ tsp

For seasoning

Ghee or oil – 2 tbl. Sp

Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp

Method

Cook peas and potatoes. Mash the potatoes. Blanch tomatoes and make a paste of it. Make a paste of the given ingredients above using very little water.

Heat ghee or oil in a pan, add cumin seeds to it, then add the ground masala and cook on a low flame till ghee separates from it. Now add tomato puree, mashed potatoes and peas. Mix it well. Then add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder and salt. Pour water and boil for few minutes. Remove from fire and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapatti or puri.
