Ingredients
Chicken – 1 kg
Onion – 100 gm
Ginger – 50 gm
Garlic – 8 to 10 flakes
Yoghurt – 1 cup
Cream – 100 gm
Green chilli - 6
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Black pepper – 6
Cashewnut pieces – 10
Almonds – 10
Bay leaf – 3
Small cardamom – 6
Cinnamon – 1 inch
Cumin seed – ½ tsp
Powdered cloves – ½ tsp
Salt and as per taste.
Oil or ghee for cooking
Method
Slice onions into thin pieces. Take a pan, add oil to it and then add onions, ginger and garlic (chopped into pieces) and fry till golden brown. Add cardamom, clove powder, cumin seed and fry. Then add washed and cut into medium pieces chicken and green chillies. When it is cooked, add yoghurt, kesar and salt to it and mix it well. After few minutes, add cream, cashew nuts and almonds and cook for few more minutes till the gravy becomes thick and separates from oil.
