. Akbari chicken Rice

Ingredients
Chicken – cut into 6 or 8 pieces
Chicken stock – 3 cup
Oil – 3 tbl.sp
Onion – 2
Garlic – 3
Tomato –  3 chopped finely
Rice – 2 cups
Bay leaf – 1
Red chilli powder and salt as per taste
Green peas – 250 gm
Cloves – 3
Pepper powder – 1 tsp
Saffron soaked in milk

Method
Wash rice and leave it to soak in water for 10 to 15 minutes.
Wash and  pat dry chicken pieces. Rub pepper powder and salt and leave it to marinate for 10 to 15 mintues.
Heat oil in a pan and fry these chicken pieces till brown in color.
Remove from oil and keep aside.
In the same oil, add cloves and then fry onions till golden brown in color and then add crushed garlic paste and sauté till raw smell goes.
Remove excess water from the rice and add to the fried onions and stir fry for few minutes and then add bay leaf, chopped tomatoes, green peas, red chilli powder, peeper powder, salt ,chicken stock,  and chicken pieces.
Stir well, add saffron soaked in milk and cover and cook on a low flame for about 25-30 minutes.
